Pixie Lott - Turn It Up - Analysis

Analysis ...

Turn it up is a song performed by Pixie Lott, it was released on 14 September 2009
and is owned by Mercury Records limited, it is part of her debut album 'Turn it up' -
The single peaked at 6 in the Uk charts. There is a slight narrative in the video and
it seems as though Pixie has just broken up with her boyfriend, we can tell this because
she calls him off a pay phone and he then looks at his mobile and ignores her call.

There are multiple locations within
the music video, it starts with Pixie
walking down a street, then eventually
she is on a rooftop where she dances
with others and finally she is getting out
of a car at night when it is raining - By
having these multiple locations it makes
the video seem more diverse and stresses
the narrative of the video. The locations
also match the feel of the music, when she
is in the car at the end it is a sad, down
piece of video - at the same time the music slows and is less energetic to listen too.
